Mr Sanjay Agrawal is a leading Consultant Bariatric Surgeon at Homerton University Hospital in London and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Blizard Institute, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom. He has been certified as ‘Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery™, SOEMBS™ by Surgical Review Corporation of the United States of America. He is the first and, so far, the only surgeon in the UK to receive this designation. Mr Agrawal is also the only Post-CCT Fellow in Bariatric and Upper GI Surgery awarded under the National Surgical Fellowship Scheme through the Royal College of Surgeons of England in partnership with the Surgical Specialist Associations.
Fully committed to staying abreast of the latest developments in the field of bariatric surgery, Mr Agrawal has made many presentations and served as Faculty (Chair/Moderator/Speaker) at national and international meetings, as well as contributing to multiple peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) Education and Research Subcommittee and of the International Committee in the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
